Volaris airlines fly to mexico from midway airport

Southwest Airlines has formed partnership with Mexican low-cost airline Volaris to increase its service to Mexico. From June 9 through September 30, 2011, you can earn 1,000 bonus points on every Southwest/Volaris flight! Fly roundtrip, and you'll earn 2,000 bonus points, plus the standard points you earn for the fare of your flight!

Through this alliance Southwest Airlines more than doubles the number of flights to Mexico, through both Chicago Midway airport and Las Vegas. A total of 26 Southwest cities now connect to Volaris flights between Chicago Midway and Guadalajara, Mexico, while more than 20 Southwest cities, primarily across the Southwest and West, now connect to Volaris flights between Las Vegas-McCarran and Guadalajara.

As of November 12, 2010, Customers can book tickets from 20 Southwest Cities to five Volaris Mexican destinations (Cancun, Guadalajara, Morelia, Toluca/Mexico City, and Zacatecas), for travel starting December 1, 2010. The new service will connect through Los Angeles International Airport, Oakland International Airport, and San Jose International Airport and will create up to 85 additional flight itineraries.
Customers travelling on an international connection are required to check in with each carrier but their luggage will be transferred by the airlines and delivered to their final destination.

Ticketing for such international connections is conducted in two separate transactions, one with Southwest's reservations system and one with Volaris' reservations system, but these two transactions are combined to provide customers with one fare.
