Emirates Airline in partnership with TUI Travel PLC’s Sport Division announces emirates Live;giving customers full access to international events including tickets, flights, hotels and transport all in one simple step.

All customers are eligible to purchase the Emirates Live packages with flights on Emirates Airline, regardless of airfare or class of travel. In addition to match ticket(s), packages include hotel accommodation, daily breakfast and all taxes and service charges. Should passengers want to arrange a trip tailored to their specific interests, individual and group packages can also be arranged for each event.

Emirates ice system wins Skytrax Award

For the seventh year in a row, Emirates Airline’s ice inflight entertainment system has been awarded the world's Best Airline Inflight Entertainment award at the 2011 Skytrax World Airline Awards.

Emirates latest IFE system, ice Digital Widescreen (ice stands for information, communications and entertainment), offers a staggering choice of over 1200 channels of entertainment, including over 280 movies from around the world, hundreds of TV choices and thousands of music tracks from contemporary to classical.

As well as investing in the latest entertainment content and newest systems, Emirates has recently finished upgrading the hardware on its existing A330-200 and A340-300 fleets to a new digital IFE system; bringing ice to every seat in Emirates First Class and Emirates Business Class - a considerable investment in equipment at time when many airlines are easing back on significant product improvements. Furthermore, Emirates now has over 90 aircraft equipped with AeroMobile, which allows mobile phone use inflight, and will soon roll out A380 aircraft equipped with WiFi internet connection.

Emirates increases flights to Khartoum

Emirates is responding to strong passenger demand in Sudan by launching an extra weekly flight to Khartoum, boosting its frequencies to four each week from 4th August 2011.

The additional weekly flight, EK733, will depart Dubai every Thursday at 14:35 hours, arriving in Khartoum at 17:40 hours. The return journey, flight EK 734, will depart Khartoum at 19:15, arriving in Dubai at 00:15 hours.

Operated by A330-200 aircraft in a three-class configuration that includes 12 luxurious First Class seats, 42 seats in Business Class and generous space for 183 passengers in Economy Class, the additional flight will offer customers greater flexibility in choosing their travel times as well as help support further business and tourism opportunities in Sudan,said Jean Luc Grillet, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for Africa.

Customers in all cabins will enjoy meals prepared by gourmet chefs, award-winning service from the airline’s international cabin crew recruited from over 120 countries, as well as the airline’s award-winning ice (information, communication, entertainment) system that offers over 600 channels of on-demand entertainment and the facility to send and receive emails and text messages.

Emirates free hotel stopover in Dubai for premium passengers
