delta add Greensboro NC to atlanta flights

Delta adds more mainline service to Greensboro Piedmont Triad International Airport
Currently Delta airlines has 3 mainline flights to Atlanta out of PTI. Beginning June 9, 2011 they will add a 4th mainline to Atlanta and on July 1 they will add a 5th.

With the new service, Delta offer North Carolina customers daily departures to its hubs and focus cities, including nonstop service from Raleigh-Durham, Fayetteville, Asheville, Kinston, Wilmington, Charlotte, Pinehurst, Greensboro/High Point/Winston-Salem and Jacksonville.

We are very excited about Delta bringing back mainline service at PTI, said Henry Isaacson, Chairman, Piedmont Triad Airport Authority. The additional seats as well as the first class cabin will give passengers flying out of PTI more options on flights to Atlanta.

The mainline flights to Atlanta will be served with Boeing MD-88’s and DC-9’s.
Delta, which now offers 13 daily nonstop flights from PTI, was the second largest carrier at the airport in February, according to the latest data available.

Located at the center of North Carolina and the midpoint of the East Coast, PTI is strategically positioned at the hub of the dynamic Piedmont Triad region, situated between the cities of Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point where I-40, I-85 and the future I-73 and I-74 converge. More than 4.5 million people live within a 90-minute drive of PTIA.
