AeroMexico Guadalajara to Fresno,CA cheap fares

AeroMexico has started daily, direct flights to Guadalajara from Fresno Yosemite International Airport(FAT) in California.

As of April 4th, the airline will begin operating daily flights between Guadalajara and Fresno, California and between Monterrey and Mexicali on a Boeing 737 plane. There will also be daily flights between Guadalajara and Hermosillo, on an Embraer 145, and an overnight flight from Culiacan to Mexicali on an Embraer 190.
Competitive airfares have produced considerable savings for international travelers compared to former Guadalajara fares. Competition between AeroMexico and Volaris has resulted in nearly $2 million in airfare savings to travelers in the first month alone. Attractive airfares continue to be available through both airlines with one-way rates ranging from $139 - $210.
“It’s encouraging that during these uncertain economic times, AeroMexico airlines see the potential success in providing international service to Fresno and the San Joaquin Valley.”

Widmar said benefits to the continued service include:
• Increased economic stimulation
• Competitive airfares
• More airline choices
• Greater access to international destinations
• Job creation
• Increased airport revenues
• International port of entry for the region
• Increased tourism opportunities

The addition of the daily, non-stop flights provides an opportunity for travelers to make important connections within Mexico, using the extensive network that both airlines offer.
“To garner the attention from two international carriers to continue service for our region is unprecedented,” Widmar said. “International service from Fresno will enable the airport to continue operating the Federal Inspection Station that the community worked so hard to create.”
The city of Fresno is located in the heart of California’s central valleys between Los Angeles and San Francisco. With over half a million inhabitants, Fresno has become the fifth most populated city in the state. It is considered an agricultural leader for its vast grape, almond, orange and cotton crops, to name a few. Guadalajara, Mexico, the capital of the state of Jalisco, is considered a traditional and cosmopolitan city. The city hosts many cultural events throughout the year, ranging from the International Mariachi Festival and the International Film Festival, to the Pam American Games, which take place in October of this year.
