Delta Sky Club lounge at LAX T5

Delta airlines has opened a renovated and expanded Sky Club at Los Angeles International Airport, completing the first of four airport lounge re-openings scheduled this year as part of the airline’s previously announced $1 billion investment in customer service.

Located on the Terminal 5 mezzanine level between Gates 53 and 55, the Delta Sky Club offers members and their guests complimentary beverages, snacks and Wi-Fi, as well as personalized flight assistance, satellite TV and computer workstation access.

The Los Angeles club now has 35 percent more seats, accommodating up to 186 customers, and includes two refurbished shower suites, expanded self-service bar and updated computer workstations.
Delta’s Los Angeles Sky Club is the model for three airport lounges set to open later this year. The Los Angeles design features updated furniture and contemporary aerial landscape art, depicting views as if seen from an airplane window seat. These elements will be replicated in clubs currently under construction in Seattle, Philadelphia and Indianapolis.
“The updated Los Angeles Sky Club reflects Delta’s commitment to improve our customers’ experience on the ground and in the air,” said Tim Mapes, senior vice president – Marketing. “From new flat-bed seats on all widebody flights to enhanced First Class service to new Sky Clubs, we are at the beginning of a multiyear initiative to substantially enhance our service worldwide.”

Delta Sky Club membership provides access to 50 airport Club locations worldwide and was named best airport lounge by readers of Executive Traveler and by Business Traveler magazines four years in a row and Global Traveler magazine for the past two years.
