You can register to receive DING! alerts by downloading our desktop application or by installing the Southwest Airlines app to your iPhone®. Simply choose your home airport(s) and you’ll begin receiving alerts when great DING! deals to Southwest destinations all over the country are released.

How DING! works on your desktop:
Once you install the DING! application, a Southwest Airlines plane tail icon will display in your system tray. This is the DING! icon and the display will confirm that the application was installed and is running on your computer.

When Southwest delivers a new message via the DING! application, you will hear an audible DING! sound and an envelope will display over the icon in the system tray. This serves as your notification that a new DING! offer is available.
Click on the DING! icon in the system tray to display the offer(s). Also, at any time you can click on the icon to bring up the display window and refer back to the offer and/or navigate to some of the most popular tools on southwest.com.

How DING! works on your iPhone:
Once you download the app, register for DING! alerts by providing your home airport(s). This allows us to customize your alerts, only notifying you when we have offers available that are relevant to your home airport(s).

Once you register for DING! updates, you will begin receiving push notifications with an audible DING! sound each time we have a DING! deal for you. Just go to the Southwest Airlines app to view the deal(s).

You can click on DING! Fare Alerts in the Southwest Airlines app anytime to display your current deals or update your preferences.
Uninstalling DING! from your Computer

For Windows:
The process to uninstall the DING! application from your computer is simple. The Windows Control Panel located on your computer should have an option to Add/Remove programs. Once you click on Add/Remove programs you will see a list of programs installed on your computer. DING! will be listed as one of those programs. Select DING! and then choose remove.
Refer a Friend
Click the “Refer a Friend” button located at the bottom of the application. Once you click on that button, you will be taken to a web page that will ask you for e-mail addresses for up to five of your friends. In addition, you may add a personal message. Once you click on the "Send E-mail" button, you will receive a confirmation page verifying the information you entered.
