Delta Atlanta to Shanghai nonstop flights

Delta Air Lines will resume nonstop flight from Atlanta to Shanghai twice weekly beginning June 5, 2011.

Delta Air Lines customers can now book convenient direct flights between Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Shanghai airport PVG, China,
"Delta is ready and excited to connect the world's largest airline hub in Atlanta to Shanghai, the fast-growing cultural and economic capital of China," said Bob Cortelyou, Delta's senior vice president - Network Planning. "We have strategically scheduled flight times between Atlanta and Shanghai to ensure optimal connections for customers from throughout the United States and from our large international
connecting network, especially in Latin America."

To celebrate the new gateway between China and the Southeast, Delta is
offering a one-way special fare of $679 from Atlanta to Shanghai
the ATL PVG flight will use Boeing 777-200ER/LR with lie flat bed seats in businesselite cabin and new economy class seats.
For these visitors, flying into the world's busiest passenger airport in Atlanta would put the city the same league with Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and other cities that the Chinese often use for air travel.

Delta is also extending its China routes from other cities. The airline announced that it has applied to the U.S. Department of Transportation to start daily service between Tokyo-Narita and Guangzhou, China, in April. It is also seeking to begin service five times per week between Detroit and Beijing in July.
Delta's other announced flights mostly focused on strengthening the airline's connections between its U.S. hubs and London's Heathrow Airport and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.
