what is southwest airlines anytime fare

Southwest has three fare groups - Business Select, Anytime and Wanna Get Away - for the right combination of price and perks. All fares on Southwest Airlines come with the following free amenities: two checked bags, online checkin, curbside checkin, as well as complimentary snacks, soft drinks and LIFT™ coffee onboard all flights. Baggage weight and size limits apply.

Anytime fares are refundable and changeable and may be applied toward future travel on Southwest Airlines for the originally ticketed passenger only.

Fully Refundable
If you cancel your flight, you are eligible to receive 100% of your ticket value as a refund to your original form of payment. Southwest Travel Funds from a previous reservation that are applied toward a Business Select Fare will be refunded as residual travel funds (RTF) since the RTF would be the original form of payment for the Business Select transaction.

Same-day Changes
On your original date of travel you are free to fly standby or make confirmed changes (if seats are available) for another flight to your destination at no additional cost.

Standby travel between the same city pairs and on the original date of travel is permitted with no change in fare.
Fares do not include a segment fee of $3.70 per takeoff and landing.
Fares do not include airport-assessed passenger facility charges (PFC) of up to $9 and government-imposed September 11th Security Fee of up to $5 one-way.
Fares may vary based on flights and day of travel.
Fares are subject to change until tickets are purchased and may be available for a limited time only.
When combining fares, all rules and restrictions apply.
Lower fares may be available.
Customers traveling on a Wanna Get Away or Anytime Fare can now upgrade to a Business Select Fare – if it's available – while getting a boarding pass. Simply press the "Upgrade" button to get priority boarding, Fly By Priority Lane access where available, extra Rapid Rewards Points, and a free drink.
